This year the 100 mi route has been modified to include a few more beautiful country roads which we think you'll really enjoy. There's not quite as much climbing making the route a little faster. It's essentially the same route as the 62 with the additional excursion of about 40 miles in and around Marshall County. This means the 100 mi route passes through scenic Lynchburg too.
As usual we'll begin and end at Motlow State Community College. The difficulty rating of these routes, especially the 100 mi, should be considered to be intermediate to advanced. However, the rest stops at approximate 15–20 mi intervals gives you plenty of opportunity to recover.
For 2014 we've added an all new guided route. If you're new to group riding or maybe this is your first big cycling event, this route is perfect for you. One of our experienced club members will personally lead you and others over a flat 20 mi course. Every 5 to 8 miles you'll be able to stop where additional water and food will be available.
The Motlow State Community College venue has extensive parking capabilities as well as fantastic shower/locker facilities.
As a special feature all routes, with the exception of the 20 mi, visit the historic town of Lynchburg. Lynchburg is a picturesque little town home to Jack Daniel Distillery, the oldest registered distillery in the US.
